Complete Calendar 2017

In the spirit of drawing things to a close on this blog, here is the final selection of images for my Calendar 2017. Okay, two.

As you could see and take a peek at my new blog yesterday, with the new year this one is about to close. Therefore I have put together not one but two Calendars for the year 2017 after posting up to twenty photos for each month throughout the year.

I am aware that right now I should be putting up a calendar for 2018 if not for 2019, but I tend to do things my way quite a bit. Thus two calendars for 2017.

I cannot say that this is the best that I can do photography-wise, but these are the images that calm my soul.

First, the one with the first choice of photos for each month you can see above.

January: Going down from the little terrace of the Skyscraper. What a visual ride. Ljubljana, Slovenia.

February: Amazed every time I visit it. Giardino dei tarocchi by Niki de Saint Phalle, southern Tuscany.

March: These violets are in exactly the same spot this year but not nearly as happy. Recent snow was a surprise. Our condominium.

April: Imagine a river with the temperature of a small clothes washer. Then lie in it and be transported smash-bam into the next group of people because the current is so strong. Don’t worry, it happens all the time. Terme Saturnia.

May: A proper bowl twister: amore making carbonara.

June: The girl during Infiorata. I love this photo. As if out of a German film. Monte Argentario monastery.

July: Time and place to lie down. It looks softer than it is. Forma Viva, Portorož, Slovenia.

August: Muha Restaurant in Lokev, Slovenia.

September: Crustaceans and Formula Uno. Rome, Italia.

October: This field is pretty happening for real. Capalbio Scalo.

November: Part of the setting to lure wildlife near photographers at the Lake Burano nature reserve.

December: The Kamnik-Savinja Alps from my parents’ front door in Bežigrad, Ljubljana, Slovenia.

But then as I was going through each month’ worth of photos I got sad for the runners-up, as I tend to do. So I said, why the heck no, it’s my blog party and I’ll do what I want!

Therefore, pronto, here is the second calendar with runner-up photos for each month! Each just happens to include a bestia of some sort (it might have been premeditated). The captions might not make much sense since they are taken from the original post.

Enjoy and make no mistake: next year we will start with January 2018 on my next blog.

January: Back to Maremma and elusive flamingos at the Orbetello lagoon.

February: Two friends who never get to meet. Capalbio Scalo.

March: This is how it goes: back to spring.

April: One bird, one car, one me, one cloud. Soon there will be an invasion, but not yet. For now the only ones who know about it are you and me. Home.

May: Another Tuscania twisted statue. Is it an egret?

June: That’s a boy, but the girls gave me the bag above: “Giving back never goes out of style.”

July: Time to waddle and wag. From the Kranj bridge, Slovenia.

September: As for this kitten, it gets all the love.

October: This cat looks badass but is the closest I’ve ever had to a cat friend. She always comes to greet us. Bestia likes her too.

November: Amputated aged Pinocchio. Well, what do you see? Capalbio beach.

December: The future in the shape of nutria. Orbetello lagoon.
