Leya wrote “Fences” in the title of her challenge, which is not to say that the singular form would have prevented me from posting twenty of them, as is my norm.
But first, I was amazed to discover – only now, as it sometimes happens – that David Byrne is not the author of the title song.
Here are my fences then, from here and there, some happier and fancier than others, one annoyed, one alive, one hot and one good, to name but a few. No fencing though.

Now Manja – you never disappoint me, do you. A gorgeous gallery of fences here. All sorts, so how can I choose? But I have to point out my eyebrow raisers:
The catwalk, the little fellow – and the colour trick…How did you do that?
And last but not least – the four saints!
Cheers!
Haha, Leya, the four saints indeed! 😀 Thank you so much! The colour trick is done by WordPress and this theme of mine (Edda) on their own, and it happens every time I post a post that is not a gallery. 🙂 Also, this comment went to spam for some reason, as did Tina’s. I don’t know what you did to anger WP gods. 😉
You got some great ones in there – the “live” fence (enhanced by Bestia, of course), the colorful one, the cemetery one … Oh, and I laughed at that concrete post painted to look like a little guy!
Thank you, Lexi! Isn’t that guy just the greatest? There were three close together, I don’t know why I didn’t take a shot of all together. Probably I should have climbed something. 🙂
Thank you, Tina. I love your alternative spelling. 😉 (It’s Ljubljana for the city and Ljubljanica for the river. I know it’s hard!) Also, this comment went to spam for some reason. As did Leya’s! No idea why.
I know why they did it in Rome: the Non-Catholic Cemetery was constantly being raided and artefacts or fingers of statues stolen. Do you know of any other reason?

So varied! I love the Street Art bollard with the painted face and hands.

Thank you, Emma. Bollard is a new word for me. There were two more guys like it close by, but I only took individual shots.

Oh yes, Bollard – its a sort of concrete post. Not to be confused with “bollocks” which is a part of the male anatomy!! Lol!

A series of amazing captures, but the catwalk must be my favourite 🙂
