Lens-Artists PC: My everyday view

Not much fear of that but just so we don’t forget, what with all this summer Slovenia hopping: I live in Tuscany and this is my everyday view to the left in all seasons.

We start on a rare January morning when I beat the sun to it, past the only snow in five years to various states of greenness and blooming, we rush by June in three different years to show you how a drought changes everything, we skip the months of July and August since I prefer to run away and even if I’m there, the landscape does not make me click, and return in the autumn when things slowly go back to green and in the winter doesn’t change much at all. Which is just how we like it.

The mountain in the distance on the right of the two in some photos is Monte Amiata, the Tuscany hill queen. With its mountain friend it reminds me of the two hills above Ljubljana. Similarity is where you find it. Ten more days.

Bonus spotting game: Spot a butterfly and a bird in flight.

If you like such fly-by-month views, there are two similar collections of photos on my blog: of another field and of our lake, both from this exact everyday walk to the station.

    1. Oh, Claudia, I knew you’d love this since you also capture your views regularly and you often admire landscapes around me. And yes, time is passing left and right and there is not a thing we can do about it. Thank you!

  1. Hey Manja, hope you are well ! I’ve led my entire life in large concrete jungles and have always wondered what it is like to live in the countryside. Your pictures are very serene, you have an enviable life Manja! Thanks for always sharing. 😊

    1. Thanks, Marina. You can see snow in one picture – this February we had one morning of snow, the first in five years. It melted by 1 pm. Ice happens more often but it’s very thin. Amore says that there was ice on the windshield maybe five mornings in the last winter. I come from the land of snow, it’s strange for me too. But I’m not complaining. 🙂
