Day 25: Do not

Challenge 25: “Today, we challenge you to write a poem that takes the form of a warning label . . . for yourself!”

whatever you do
around me,
beware not to:

speak falsely
bat eyelashes
especially at my man

but most of all
do not hurt a person or an animal
young and defenceless

do not groom a child
into thinking the world
is something else

do not make them believe
this is what they want
because if you do

it will not end well for you
even if you are far
and I don’t know you

you’ll see

        1. Heh. I have here almost 20 photos of a certain Tarot Garden statue ready to post. I haven’t written the poem yet.

I thought to have a glance at yours, since I inspired it. Wrong.

          Guess which statue.

Will write mine and then continue reading yours. πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you, Joanne. For some reason I had to rescue your comment from spam just now. Reasonable is right, and yet not everybody acts accordingly. Or we wouldn’t have those problems.

        1. One time it locked all my comments in there (except at Dan’s :D) and I complained with them and they restored it immediately. I was very pleased and recommend it.
